The ongoing negative effects of climate change are putting stress on the global  insurance market. Some analysts doubt industry players and governments have fully come to terms with the issues involved and should begin rewarding communities and individuals who practice resilience. There are also concerns about some of the financial mechanisms that insurance companies have put in place to share the risk.
