Hyundai-owned Boston Dynamics has publicly demonstrated its humanoid robot Atlas for the first time at the CES tech showcase. The life-sized robot walked and waved to the crowd, marking a significant step in the competition to build human-like robots. The company says a product version is already in production and will be deployed by 2028 at Hyundai's facility in Georgia. Hyundai also announced a partnership with Google's DeepMind to supply AI technology to Boston Dynamics robots. This marks a return to a familiar partnership for Google, which previously owned Boston Dynamics.
